Full description
One day tour in Phnom Penh. First we will visit Wat Phnom, a sacred place on the hill. Then we will visit the National Museum, located 1.5 km from Wat Phnom, which houses numerous collections of Khmer art, including sculptures, Khmer ceramics, bronzes and ethnographic artefacts. After that we will go to the Royal Palace, a structure with Khmer architecture, including a defensive wall (kampeng), a throne room (preah thineang), a temple dedicated to the Emerald Buddha (Wat Preah Kaew Morakot), stupas (chedei), towering spires (prang prasat), wall paintings and head to the Independence Monument, the embodiment of the independence we gained from France after almost a century of colonization. The most anticipated activity will probably be dinner. After a tiring half-day tour, we will have a break in the morning and also take our clients to any restaurants that will satisfy their appetite. Moreover, we can also recommend some traditional cuisine and some other colorful restaurants. The next destination will be the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum; it commemorates a tragic period in history, aiming to inspire visitors to spread peace. Next, we will explore the Killing Fields, which are a series of sites in Cambodia where the Khmer Rouge dictatorship is believed to have executed and buried more than 1,000,000 people. We really hope you enjoy Phnom Penh and our travel itinerary to the fullest.
